Leyla. I fell in love with Washington DC. It’s not too big, not too small, it’s just right. Perfect in fact. The Capitol, The Mall, the Potomac River, the universities…give me the buzz of people trying to get things done.
For the next 35 years or so I lived in DC, owning my first townhome on 13th Street NW before there was a Green Line Metro stop. Then on to Dupont Circle to a sweet Coop, then to Shaw and a gut-renovation of a charming townhome, then I had to head to Brookland with my wife and soon-to-be son before it became too cool for school. Like many families before us, we migrated north to Bethesda for a cute Cape Cod, a large yard, a dog, a cat, and 2 birds. Still happily married and now our son is a teenager.
